I guess Transfigurations. Why? How cool is that concept of changing into something or changing other things into something else. The Dark Arts do scare me a bit.

Which are your favorite pair? A pair of Donald Pliner platform shoes with leopard print straps and a big peace sign in the middle. When more conservative I do love a classic loafer. In the summer, flip flops of course.

Roar Gryffindor and Kit Complete!
Wow! The mood has changed in Gryffindor! Millicent saved the day for the extra Quidditch round and my housemates and I are ecstatic. I had Potions practice and couldn't even help in the hunt but was spending much of my time thinking about my housemates and really botched something up in my cauldron so I will be there again today to help dispose of the caustic result!
My spoilee is in luck! I have everything in her kit ready for the post and should have it off tomorrow. I think I blogged before but this time of year my family sends post by seagull not owl and it is not reliable so I will be sending it by something called USPS with a Tracking Confirmation. Hopefully it works well and arrives quicker than seagull method!
I also took a quiz right after my extra Potions class. I was really surprised that I had the following results.

My housemates tell me not to worry and a couple thought Professor Snape may not be quite what he appears. I still don't know about that and feel slightly out of sorts over the results.

Finishing up Loose Ends
I am busy finishing some incomplete work this term and hope to be ready when finals hit. Most of us in Gryffindor are working to finish handmade items for the "swap" and trying our best with the quizzes, blogging and quidditch. Muggle life gets in the way sometimes but muggle life is always very interesting. My family loves to spend time at the beach during the summer and hope to join them when the term ends. My parents leave Roddick our owl behind and they use Clyde, our seagull for post deliveries. He is not very dependable and will drop a letter from his beak if there is a french fry or mollusk within his range. I will opt for US Tracked mail for my swap package because of this.
I am going to bring Roddick to school next term. He would just love it in the owlery.

A Meme...
In reponse to Lizzie Wychwood, here is my Meme...
1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
In 1998 I was married to my now ex-husband and I was pregnant with my first child and working in my muggle law firm with my dad and brother. I played lots of tennis and was knitting at the time in anticipation of my first baby but not too much. We lived in Tarpon Springs, Florida, famous for its Greek community and natural sponge industry.
2. What are 5 things on my to-do list today?
(a)Lunch appointment regarding a service organization's annual literacy projects(Rotary);
(b)Finalize a much hashed over commercial lease for a client;
(c) Work on the "handmade" item for my spoilee (Electra the Enchanting);
(d) Pick up kids at camp and head them to swim practice; and
(e) Wash car inside and out.
There is more including take some pictures of some recent acquisitions for Ravelry and get kid's calendar done for their summer activities. And there is more but unless someone can help it would be better to stop listing them and just start working on the list.
3. Snacks I enjoy...
I guess chocolate is not a snack, but it is the best of course. I also love nuts, fruit, cheese, peanut butter, and other stuff that is kind of good for you. I am on a health kick currently (chocolate is full of antioxidants, right?)
4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire...
I would buy someone that needed help a home. I would pay all bills and get a bit larger home myself. I would let my husband pick something he wanted to do--retire, encourage a dream, hobby, etc. I would make time for wonderful travel as often as we needed it. I would donate money where I thought it would make a big impact. I would help my children to study or work in the field they dreamed to study/work in. I would buy a fuel efficient car like a hybrid or a mini.

Yes, I am also a mother, wife, sister, daughter but that just isn't a job.
7. Peeps I want to know more about...
I love reading the Memes that have been posted. I particularly want to hear from Miilicent Brocklehurst, Electra the Enchanting (my lovely spoilee) and Ceciley Fortescue (my spoiler). I enjoy everyone's blogs from all the houses. I hope all Gryffindors especially post a Meme. Please do not feel obligated however. Although I have magical charms and powers at my disposal, this is not a chain letter and no horrible fate will occur if you don't post a Meme. Now off to work on that "to do" list.

A Trip to Hogsmeade and Conjuring my Patronus
I have had so much work this week. Classes are getting much harder and the house is a little glum over our last place position after the first round of Quidditch. My Patronus conjuring is hard and I keep having different results. Sometimes it is a beautiful white unicorn and sometimes it is a gorgeous black stallion. They are similar and the professor told me it can happen, but with practice one patronus will prevail. Nothing to worry about but I am the only one in my class with this problem. The last few days it has been more unicorn than horse but we will see. So I will post the Unicorn as my Patronus and see if the power of suggestion makes it clearer. I am really worried I will mix the two and have a really odd equine!
Not sure but I think I will go to Hogsmeade this week. It is kind of a teeny village but it does have some places I have heard from those who have attended Hogwarts when they were young students. I think the sweet shop should be great and I need a new quill from the quill shop. I am sure there is more I will enjoy. I just want away from school for an afternoon with my new friends. Mom misses me and Dad keeps asking about if I need anything--I think he was hinting that a faster broom might help with the Quidditch. The Puff that won couldn't have been caught by any broom that I know of. She was very good!
